Role of ceremony coordinators

Your Mars Hill Ceremony Coordinator will:

• review your ceremony plans during a pre-wedding meeting with you
• provide guidance regarding the details of the ceremony such as the order of the procession, the music, and the arrangement of the attendants
• act as the liaison between the Mars Hill pastor performing your ceremony and yourself, and will inform the pastor of all the important details
• attend and facilitate the rehearsal
• be the primary contact responsible for guiding the wedding party through the procession and ceremony on the day of the wedding

While we will advise you on your ceremony, we will not make commitments to resources on your behalf. We feel it is important that you control all commitments and appointments.

• If you are a member of Mars Hill and a Mars Hill pastor is officiating your wedding, a ceremony coordinator is required.
• If the ceremony location is outside of Seattle city limits, you will be asked to pay a small fee to cover driving costs for the coordinator.
• If the ceremony is 30 - 50 miles from Mars Hill | Ballard you will be asked to pay $75 to cover costs.
• If the ceremony is 50 - 70 miles from Mars Hill | Ballard you will be asked to pay $100 to cover costs.
• If the ceremony requires ferry travel, you will be asked to pay $175 to cover costs.
• If you are not a member, or you are being married by a pastor from another church, you may still work with a Mars Hill ceremony coordinator for a fee of $200.

Ceremony coordinators cannot commit to any rehearsal or ceremony beginning before 5:30 PM on a weekday.
